The independent luxury watch brand will exhibit timepieces featuring authentic, race-used brake components at Time to Drive Miami, November 6–8, 2026. The first 10 customers who purchase a watch at the event will receive a VIP experience at the 2027 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
LORIGE, the independent Swiss watchmaker that transforms authentic motorsport components into mechanical timepieces, is accelerating its expansion in the United States. With strategic investment and distribution partner FundTime LLC, the brand established new retail partnerships with four U.S. luxury jewelry and watch retailers in 2026 and will present its distinctive collections at the inaugural Time to Drive Miami, November 6–8 at Mana Wynwood in Miami.
The exhibition offers American collectors, watch enthusiasts, and motorsport aficionados a chance to discover LORIGE’s approach to haute horlogerie, where materials with a documented racetrack history become integral elements of finely engineered watches.
To mark the occasion, LORIGE will offer the first 10 customers who purchase a timepiece at Time to Drive Miami complimentary VIP hosting at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January 2027. The experience will include VIP tickets, meals, behind-the-scenes access to the garages, and an opportunity to meet participating drivers.
From Racing Technology to Swiss Watchmaking
Founded in 2018 by Clément Etienvre, Emeric Paraud, and Philippe Dumas, LORIGE emerged from the founders’ professional motorsport backgrounds and their experience developing endurance-racing prototypes for the French Oak Racing team in Le Mans. They aimed to create watches that preserve genuine racing heritage rather than simply borrow the visual language of performance automobiles.
The result is a collection of Swiss-made mechanical timepieces incorporating Carbon/Carbon composite material recovered from race-used braking components. Originally developed for demanding technical applications, including aerospace and high-performance motorsport, Carbon/Carbon is engineered to withstand extreme heat and pressure. Racing brake components can encounter temperatures of up to 900°C.
After three years of research and development, LORIGE developed a patented process to transform this material into distinctive monobloc watch cases and dials. Each component retains aspects of the original composite’s texture and character, giving the finished timepiece a direct physical connection to its motorsport origins.
Details such as screw heads inspired by wheel nuts reinforce the relationship between engineering and design. Beneath the distinctive exterior, LORIGE works with specialist Swiss watchmaking partners to develop exclusive mechanical movements, finish them, and assemble its watches in Switzerland.
Collections Rooted in Endurance Racing
LORIGE introduced its first Brake Late (BL) Endurance Automatic collection in 2020, featuring the LOR-PR01 automatic caliber with a peripheral rotor. Collaborations with established racing organizations, including United Autosports, Peugeot Sport, and Inter Europol, have further strengthened the brand’s connection to endurance competition.
The brand subsequently introduced the AS-01 Central Flying Tourbillon, powered by its exclusive LOR-TC01 caliber. The watch incorporates Carbon/Carbon material sourced from the McLaren MP4/8 driven by Ayrton Senna during the 1993 Formula One season, connecting a highly specialized watchmaking complication with a specific chapter in racing history.
In 2026, LORIGE unveiled the BL-Evolution “Competition,” a limited edition of 50 pieces made with race-used Carbon/Carbon brake material from Inter Europol Competition’s winning No. 43 and No. 343 LMP2 cars.
The collections reflect LORIGE’s central philosophy: the material is not merely an aesthetic reference to motorsport. It is part of the timepiece’s physical construction and carries a tangible association with the demands of competition.
A Growing Presence in the American Luxury Market
LORIGE’s participation in Time to Drive Miami comes as the company builds its U.S. distribution network with support from FundTime LLC, an investment firm focused on helping independent watch brands grow through investment, strategic planning, distribution, and operational support.
LORIGE announced four new U.S. retail partners for 2026: Manfredi Jewels in Connecticut, Kwiat in New York, The Timepiece Collection in New Jersey, and Provident Jewelry in Florida. The partnerships give American customers additional opportunities to discover the brand’s limited-edition mechanical watches.
“As the enthusiasm for car racing grows in the USA, we are excited to partner with FundTime and select luxury retailers to bring these authentic masterpieces of horology and racing to U.S. customers,” said Clément Etienvre, LORIGE co-founder and CEO. “American collectors can now access the limited editions created by LORIGE from real brakes that withstood the stress of a race.”
A Miami Exhibition Connecting Watches and Automotive History
At Time to Drive Miami, LORIGE will display selected timepieces, including watches made with authentic Porsche racing brake components. The presentation will feature a vintage Porsche valued at approximately $2 million, in collaboration with a LORIGE collector and luxury publisher Assouline.
For collectors who appreciate both fine watchmaking and motorsport, the exhibition provides an opportunity to explore how race-proven materials, Swiss mechanical expertise, and limited-edition design can converge in a luxury object.
“LORIGE crafts a unique combination of truly authentic racing brakes with high horology,” said Lior Arussy, founding director of FundTime LLC. “For fans of both worlds, it is a piece of history taken straight from the racetrack. We are proud to make this brand, so beloved by race drivers, available to racing and timepiece enthusiasts in the USA.”
